Acceptable Use Policy

What is and is not allowed when using Grein.

Effective date: 2 September 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all use of Grein, including projects, boards, uploads, comments, collaboration, public sharing, templates, links, and AI Features. It forms part of the Grein Terms of Service.

The purpose of this AUP is to protect creative freedom while preventing use that harms people, rights, systems, or the Service.

1. Illegal activity

Do not use Grein to engage in, facilitate, promote, or materially assist activity that is illegal where you or Grein operate, or to evade lawful restrictions.

2. Harm, exploitation and abuse

Do not use Grein to create, store, share, or coordinate content or activity involving:

  • Child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation of minors, grooming, or content that sexualises children.
  • Credible threats, targeted harassment, stalking, extortion, or doxxing.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery or other severe privacy abuse.
  • Content or activity intended to facilitate serious physical harm where prohibited by law or Grein safety rules.
  • Human trafficking or exploitation.

3. Intellectual property and confidential information

Do not knowingly upload, distribute, publicly share, or use content in a way that infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, trade-secret, confidentiality, contractual, or other rights. Creative references may be stored for legitimate project development, but Grein does not give you rights to commercially reproduce third-party material.

Do not upload client, employer, teammate, or third-party confidential information unless you are authorised to process and share it through Grein.

4. Fraud, deception and impersonation

Do not use Grein for phishing, scams, fraudulent schemes, deceptive impersonation, forgery, manipulation intended to defraud, or misrepresentation of AI-generated material in circumstances where disclosure is legally required.

5. Security and platform abuse

You may not:

  • Probe, scan, or test Grein systems for vulnerabilities without written authorisation.
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, permissions, rate limits, subscription limits, security controls, or technical restrictions.
  • Distribute malware, ransomware, malicious code, or credential-stealing content through the Service.
  • Interfere with the normal operation of Grein or impose unreasonable load on its infrastructure.
  • Use automated scraping, crawling, or extraction in a manner that violates these Terms, applicable law, or technical restrictions.
  • Access another user’s account, private workspace, or data without authorisation.

6. Spam and unwanted activity

Do not use Grein to send bulk unsolicited communications, operate spam campaigns, or repeatedly invite or contact people in an abusive or deceptive manner.

7. Public sharing

Publicly shared Grein content must comply with this AUP. Anonymous visitors to an active public share link are provided view-only access. Project owners can revoke public access. We may disable a public link or restrict public access where content violates this policy, creates a security risk, infringes rights, or must be restricted by law.

8. AI use

Use of Grein AI is also subject to the AI Terms & Usage Policy. Attempts to bypass AI safeguards or use AI Features for prohibited harmful, exploitative, fraudulent, infringing, or unlawful purposes violate this AUP.

9. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take proportionate action, including warning a user, removing or restricting content, disabling a share link, limiting a feature, suspending access, terminating an account, preserving evidence where legally necessary, or reporting conduct to appropriate authorities where required by law or necessary to address serious harm.

Where practical and legally permitted, Grein will consider context, severity, intent, recurrence, and risk when enforcing this AUP.

10. Reporting concerns

If you believe content or activity on Grein violates this AUP, infringes your rights, or creates a security concern, report it through Grein Support. Include enough information for us to identify the relevant account, project, share link, or content and understand the concern.
