Grein is a visual canvas for thinking through and developing projects. Put notes, images, links, and documents on one board, work on it with your team, and use AI that reads the whole board: Grein's built-in assistant, Dia, or Claude and ChatGPT connected over MCP.
What Grein does
One canvas for the whole project
A Grein board holds notes, images, links, video, audio, documents, code and sketches side by side. Boards can sit inside other boards, so a large project stays in one place without one screen getting crowded.
Work on it together
Invite people to a project and edit the same board at the same time. Leave comments on a board or a single block, and talk things through in the project chat.
Dia, the built-in AI assistant
Dia is Grein’s own AI assistant, included in the Pro plan. It reads the board you’re on, can open links, read documents and search the web, and adds to or rearranges the board when you ask it to.
Bring your own AI over MCP
Grein runs an MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity can read and edit your boards once you connect them to your account. Setup steps are in the Grein docs.
Desktop app and Chrome extension
A desktop app is in beta. The Chrome extension saves pages, links, images and text to a board while you browse.
