Mood board template for visual direction
Collect images, color, and typography into a moodboard your collaborators can act on.
- 01
Start with the decision
Write the feeling, audience, and constraints at the top of the board. A launch campaign and a personal portfolio need different kinds of references.
- 02
Group the visual ingredients
Collect composition, color, type, and material references in separate groups. Add a note explaining what you want to borrow from each image, and keep the source link beside it.
- 03
Edit into one direction
Remove references that contradict the brief. Invite a collaborator to comment on the remaining choices before you turn them into finished work.
